We Serve the Community – Available Facilities for Rent

As a Reconciling in Christ congregation, Immanuel Lutheran Church welcomes people of every age and size, color and culture, every sexual orientation and gender identity, socio-economic status and marital status, every ability and challenge. We welcome believers and questioners, and questioning believers.

Immanuel Lutheran has various rooms and spaces available for dinners, music lessons and rehearsals, concerts, classes and seminars, tournaments, group gatherings & holiday/birthday parties, graduation parties, and family reunions. We welcome the use of our property by the community for events which are in harmony with those of our congregation.

We are conveniently located in downtown Evanston at the corner of Lake Street & Sherman Avenue, across from the Evanston Holiday Inn. We’re a short walk from the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) Purple Line Dempster Street Station and the Metra Davis Street Station. We have a large parking lot as well.

Immanuel’s building is ADA-compliant. Enter via the courtyard door from the church parking lot (facing Sherman Ave.) to use the elevator.

o Audio-Visual technology available with wireless microphones, PA system, 50” television monitor, pull-down movie screen, Livestreaming capabilities

      • About weddings: Immanuel Lutheran Church is completely inclusive and we welcome all configurations of LGBTQA+ unions. We desire to be of service to you in the preparation of your wedding; a sacred and celebrative worship service requiring excellence in preparation. The couple being married is expected to prepare beginning with an initial conference with the pastor, followed by a meeting with the organist.
