The Advocacy Table was a popular place to be at the Indoor Farmers Market yesterday!  Shoppers were eager to take positive action and apologize to the people of Haiti and the African Union for the hateful language used by the President recently.  Prewritten letters to the ambassadors and blank postcards were available – copies of the pdfs can be found here for those who wish to print their own at home.  Click for the letter to the Ambassador from Haiti and the letter to the Ambassador to the African Union.

At every Indoor Farmers Market, representatives from Immanuel bring forward important social topics, building on the recommendations from the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America’s Advocacy Office in Washington, D.C.  Blank and preprinted postcards and letters are available to shoppers along with free stamps and mailing labels to elected officials as part of this ministry.
