Immanuel Congregation shares God’s great concern for the most vulnerable and oppressed. Our working for justice takes the form of both learning and action. We seek to educate ourselves about the root causes of injustice, and are actively at work to bring into being a more just and equitable world. We are known for our Indoor Community Farmer’s Market during the cold winter months that provides a much needed venue for local farmers to sell produce and provide healthy nutritious food to the community. We provide an opportunity for the community to engage in issues of social justice advocacy at the Farmer’s Market. We have a thriving quilting ministry that sends warmth the refugees around the world. We hosted the Interfaith Action overnight shelter in April of 2023. Our Anti-Racism task force has hosted many learning events in our community as we seek to work for racial justice.
