Drawing on 50 years of national and international dialogue, Lutherans and Catholics together have issued Declaration on the Way: Church, Ministry, and Eucharist,a unique ecumenical document that marks a pathway toward greater visible unity between Catholics and Lutherans. It is a remarkable document that evaluates those things on which we agree concerning the Church, ministry in the Church, and the Eucharist, highlights those things on which we are working to find agreement, and those things that remain a challenge for reconciliation and greater unity. On Thursday evenings March 9, 16, 23, and 30, you’re invited to come join a group that will be studying and discussing this document. We’ll meet at Grace Lutheran , 1430 South Bd., Evanston from 7:00–8:30 PM. Different facilitators, including Pr. Keith, will be leading the group. The discussions will lead into the development of a Covenant to be signed by Evanston Lutherans and Catholics in October to mark the 500th anniversary of the Reformation.Declaration on the Way can be downloaded for free here: http://download.elca.org/ELCA%20Resource%20Repository/Declaration_on_the_Way.pdf?_ga=1.111638977.499496477.1488552342
