Would you like to explore how to grow closer to God in a group setting?
We facilitate group members to assist one another in paying attention to the God moments in their lives. Participants will listen deeply to the spiritual experiences of others and have a willingness to share their faith journey with others. Together we’ll contemplate the mystery and pay attention to the sacred moments of our lives.
Pastor Mark Sloss and Kit McCarthy are the trained Spiritual Directors who will be facilitating the groups.
We are currently running groups and will be opening to new participants each fall. We seek to put people into a group that fits with their availability. Groups may meet either in person or via Zoom or in a combination of ways. The key is a setting that invites the shy soul to make an appearance and thus allows participants to be more in tune with both themselves and God. Groups of 3 or 4 assists one another in diving deeper into their experiences in a non evasive way. Each meeting includes enough time for silence to listen for the Spirit’s promptings.
Please contact Pastor Mark, pastor@immanuelevanston.org, or Kit McCarthy, kit.mccarthy@comcast.net for more information and if you are drawn to engage in this holy endeavor.
