On Sun. June 8, 2025 at 3 pm, Dr. Christine Kraemer will give an organ recital in the sanctuary. Dr. Kraemer is a member of the Chicago Midwest Organ Historical Society and is Immanuel’s Principal Organist. It is Pentecost Sunday, so the program opens with an arrangement of “Veni Creator Spiritus” by Wilbur Held and closes with a setting of “Come, Holy Ghost, God and Lord” by J.S. Bach. Freely composed works from the 17th-20th centuries by Dietrich Buxtehude, Jehan Alain, and Josef Rheinberger alternate with hymn settings by 21st century American composers Rebecca te Velde and J. Roland Braithwaite to fill out the program.

You are invited to come early or stay after the recital to ask questions about the organ! The recital is free and open to the public.
