Palm Sunday
This week, the center of the church’s year, is one of striking contrasts: Jesus rides into Jerusalem surrounded by shouts of glory, only to be left alone to die on the cross, abandoned by even his closest friends.
You are invited to prepare and bring to worship a palm plant or any kind of branch, perhaps a clipping from an evergreen or even artificial plant greenery to wave. Or a cloak. Home-made signs for The Passion reading (such as “Crucify” or “Not Me!” or other suggestions/highlights in The Passion reading. And Communion, as usual.
