Good Friday, April 19, Noon and 8:00 PM:
On this day, we gather to hear once again the story of the Passion as recounted by St. John. We hear the Solemn Reproaches in the voice of Jesus, acknowledging our need of a Savior, and then stand in wonder in awe as we venerate the Cross “on which was hung the Savior of the whole world.” This is a day of great awe and power. We go out with a soul-shaking sound that marks the sealing of Christ in the tomb. The noon service will be a very simple spoken service. The evening service will include beautiful music sung by Assembly and choir.
